Re: Recycled Paper
As you know, Rutgers University is committed to business practices that are both environmentally and economically responsible. Today's 30% post-consumer grade recycled paper has proved to be a viable alternative to virgin paper without the past performance issues such as curling and jamming of copier machines in high humidity. In keeping with these practices, effective immediately, I am asking all administrative affairs organization to use 30% post-consumer recycled paper for all general use which includes printing, copying, and writing grade paper.
The Purchasing Department has negotiated new prices (listed below) for the 30% recycled paper which is available at the preferred office supply firms or through Material Services. More information on suppliers and pricing is available at http://procure.rutgers.edu/upc.html by selecting the "Preferred Suppliers" section and then "Recycled Copy Paper." If you have questions regarding the purchase of recycled paper, please contact purchasing at 732/932-4375.
Your participation in the use of recycled paper will help demonstrate our organization's commitment to environmental initiatives. I greatly appreciate your cooperation in making this a priority for administrative affairs.
